Leon, Nicaragua

Nicaragua is a blend of vibrant indigenous cultures and Spanish influence. Just outside of Nicaragua’s second largest city of Leon lies a forgotten community of displaced people called Tomas Borge barrio. Once the city dump the residents of the barrio live in makeshift homes from bits and fragments they’ve collected. These people have suffered from generational poverty due to rebel violence, and limited employment opportunities to sustain even their basic needs
