This past summer when visiting the orphanage, we got a chance to throw a party for the staff in honor of them and their hard work. There was much dancing and much eating as we relaxed under the canopy of our new church building. As the evening came to a close, I wanted to get a picture of all of the staff together. Irene plugged in some music as we walked out to the front of the gate. “Ho Hey” by the Lumineers was playing and I yelled “This is PERFECT!” I started singing at the top of my lungs and stomping on the last yelled ‘HOME’! The whole staff started laughing but soon joined in, making sure they hit the last “HOME” as they stomped the ground with me. This picture captures the joy we had in that moment. A moment where two cultures collide, uniting as one family.
