For some PHW supporters and investors, the first two weeks of December were not spent on the stress and planning of Christmas parties and shopping. Rather, it was spent visiting our project in Lira, Uganda; Calo Me Lare (Village of Redemption). Thirteen people from the U.S., headed over to Uganda for the first time to see their money at work. What they saw was overwhelming for them and all of them were impacted in incredible ways. The common statement made by almost all of them was, “I am blown away at the quality of not only the infrastructure, but the quality of holistic work that is literally transforming these orphans’ lives. I was expecting something much less, but this village that has been built with excellence in every way.”
