Josephine is one of our new house mothers. She is from the Kaberaido Village around the city of Soroti. Soroti is south of Lira. She grew up with both loving parents who valued education and made sure that Josephine attended school.
After graduating, she married and had 5 children before her husband died of liver disease. Josephine is grateful for her job as a house mom. This opportunity has given her the means to support herself. This is rare for widows in Uganda. She has a passion for the children and loves spending her days with the boys there. Pastor Fred’s baby (pictured above) is constantly with Josephine as everyone has become so close and family-like.
