Project Hope Worldwide COVID-19 UPDATE

Last Updated: March 16, 2020

Throughout the weekend we all witnessed the quickly escalating actions being taken by the CDC, government officials, and many organizations throughout the country to minimize the spread of the COVID-19 virus. The health and safety of our staff, children, donors, child sponsors, mission team members and guests is our number one priority.

Project Hope Worldwide is doing everything we can to protect and prevent the spread of the virus by taking the steps outlined below.

HOPE PROJECT STAFF & CHILDREN

We want to reassure all donors, supporters and child sponsors that Project Hope Worldwide is taking every necessary precaution to safeguard our Hope Projects and the over 230 children we serve. At this time there have been no reported cases in or around our Hope Projects in Uganda, Nicaragua or Mexico.

We continue to be in close communication with each of our Hope Project Directors who are taking swift actions to prevent, prepare, and mitigate the impact to our children and staff.  We are ensuring that they have the information, supplies, and emergency funding necessary to care for themselves and one another during this difficult time.

SHORT-TERM MISSION TRIPS

  • The April 4-10 Nicaragua Mission trip is postponed.
  • The April 7-12 Mexico Mission Trip is postponed.
  • Postponed trips may be rescheduled at a date to be determined.
  • All June short-term trips remain as scheduled and will be assessed as more up-to-date information becomes available.

RIPPLE 2020

Project Hope Worldwide’s 2020 RIPPLE gala scheduled for May 8th is postponed in accordance with the CDC’s recommendation and Tulsa, OK Mayor Bynum’s directive to postpone or cancel events of 50 people or more at all city facilities.

RIPPLE will be rescheduled at a date, time and venue to be determined. All tickets purchased may be refunded or held in reserve in your name for a future rescheduled RIPPLE.  For additional information please contact Project Hope Worldwide at (918) 935-4783.

We appreciate your faithful, fervent prayer and support for our children, staff, and their families during this time of unrest and uncertainty. May we always remember that God is faithful and His presence can be known even when the circumstances of life are difficult.

Sincerely,

Lyndon Becker
