Spreading Hope

We are called
to be a Blessing

There is no denying that it is a blessing to have food, clothing, safety, health, and education. While the holistic care that we provide these children is important, it’s not the most important thing that we do—we seek to exhibit Christ with our Five Principles of The Blessing in the way we care for them.

FIVE PRINCIPLES OF THE BLESSING

Principle one

Attaching High Value

Every person God created has incredible value. We communicate and demonstrate this truth in a personal way to every child. We teach them self-acceptance and personal worth.

Principle Two

Healthy Relationships

All children have a deep need to be loved. When we embrace them, it communicates belonging, personal acceptance, affirmation, love, warmth, and security.

Principle Three

Spoken Message

One well-timed word of encouragement has the potential to change a person’s perspective on life. That’s why we write to the children and they write to us—to affirm and uplift them in their study and development.

Principle Four

Picturing a Special Future

We convey to each child that they were created with and for a special purpose: that their personality, gifts, and talents are part of God’s unique design for them.

Principle Five

An Active Commitment

Words alone cannot communicate a blessing. Our words must be backed with a commitment to never give up, never quit, and never abandon the children in our care. We take responsibility to do everything possible to help these children become successful.
