Imagine you’re a mother of 5 children and your husband commits suicide leaving you a single parent to provide for them all alone. Add to this you’re in Juarez Mexico where it’s next to impossible to find a decent job as a woman.
In the area just outside of Juarez where this family lives, the unemployment rate is over 25% and women face intense discrimination in the work force and are never hired… The possibility for their mom to get a job is slim to none. All of the children have been attending school up to this point, but will be forced to stay home as a result of their Father’s death.
Their names: Sonia (oldest) , Adrian, Nora, Arnolda, Evelyn (youngest). – The oldest is 15 years old and youngest is 2 1/2. Their father committed suicide four months ago, leaving all five kids behind. The mother now carries the burden to solely provide food, shelter, and school fees for all of her kids.. Of which, she cannot do.
By sponsoring a child you enter into a life-long relationship with a child who has become an orphan. You will have the opportunity to communicate regularly with your child and visit your child as you are able. Children truly treasure these relationships and often have their sponsor’s pictures hanging in their homes. Project Hope Worldwide provides three different levels for people to get involved.
