A message from the president —

medclinic-3This June I attended the funeral of an acquaintance, Tom, who sold us the land where our project resides in Bunga Bunga Village.  Tom died as a result of the treatment he received from a witch doctor.  Tom had swelling in his arms and legs due to diabetes.  Unfortunately, the witch doctor he visited was unaware of this diagnosis and proceeded to cut him with a razor blade to try to relieve the pressure caused by the swelling.  Ultimately this treatment cost Tom his life.

These stories are all too common in this region.  This is why we are so excited to announce that our medical clinic in Uganda has just been completed.  It is the first medical clinic in the area and will serve over 10,000 people!  The clinic will have a laboratory for testing and prescriptions, an office and five patient rooms.  We are partnered with the Minister of Health Services in Kampala, Uganda and the District Health Officer of the Kole District to get our clinic staffed and certified.
